1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo This Jeep has the 4.0 inline 6 cylinder. Runs strong even though it has over 200,000 on the odometer, 209,000 to be closer. Here are the specs: Power windows/locks, steering 4X4 Cloth interior, auto transmission. Here is the good; Body for the most part straight, missing a piece of the rub rail trim in front of the driver's door, there is a small dent on the rear tail gate. Paint is great shape, fabric on the seats are in good shape. The engine runs great, I believe that it has been rebuilt (before I got it). I have put a new water pump, t-stat and have flushed the cooling system. Tires are about 40% 4 wheel drive works great as well as the brakes. It also has a very nice Pioneer AM/FM CD Player. Here is the not so good; I have replaced the water pump thinking that was the reason why the heat is not working. It blows air, but the flap under to move it from a/c to the heater core under the dash is not working (just don't want to take the bottom of the dash off. It is missing the inside mirror, and the electric outside mirrors don't work (electrically). The carpet if filthy, the rear gate struts don't hold the rear gate up, and the cruise control doesn't seem to work. The transmission will need to be serviced as it shifts from 2nd to 3rd late, but it does shift and to overdrive fine. The rear tail pipe rattles when going over bumps. I am asking $2000 for the Jeep, as it sits. There is no warranty on this vehicle.
Here is the next vehicle 1988 Range Rover Classic Here are the particulars: This is a Classic Range Rover with the 3.9 liter V-8. If you know anything about Range Rover's they can pretty much go anywhere. This one come complete with leather seats front and rear, power windows/ locks, A/C, sunroof, and this is a true 4 wheel drive vehicle, including a center diff lock. The body is for the most part straight except for the left rear corner has a little dent. If you know anything about Rovers, they can pretty much do anything. I have tested this out and I went through a 16" water/ mud hole and drove right through it, and had the pull the Jeep that tried to follow me through it out of the same hole. This Rover has brand new tires on it and I mean brand new, less than 1000 miles on them. It also has brand new front brake pads and the right front rotor has been replaced, and I will throw in the one for the left which didn't need to be replaced but ordered as a kit. The good with this vehicle is that it starts and run and drive real good. 4 wheel drive works and the CDL engages and yes it will go through big mud puddles even with street tires. Just think of what you could do with traction tires. There is no rust on the truck. Now for the not so good, the drivers window is the only one that works, the others will sometimes work but have not dug into the problem, possibly the switches. The electric seats move forward and back but the recline don't work, I believe this is probably the switches, this is common. The heat works but the motor makes a lot of noise, however the A/C works great but it is a separate fan motor. The sunroof will sometimes work. The washer tank has a leak and needs to be replaced. Radiator has been flushed, the check engine light is on, however it seems to run fine even when I took it out in the hills to play. The front plastic spoiler is broken on the passenger side, but it is there for looks anyway, and if you are going to play in the mud it really needs to come off. The original Rover radio is in it, I can get it to code up but no sound. The speedometer does not work, I think the cable is off but haven't checked into that. If you know anything about Rovers here is a classic rover to play with and impress your friends climbing around the hills or in up to 22" of water and you can get where you want to go. I have 2 other Rovers, and really don't need a 3rd one, but this one has been fun to play with. I will also include a copy of the Rover tech CD manual for some of the basics. I do have the left rear tail light guard. For all of this I'm asking $2200 and price is can be somewhat negotiated. There is no warranty and I have described this the best to my ability. These vehicles don't get great mileage around 12 to 14 city, and maybe 16 highway. It is not a gas efficient vehicle but it is a true 4 wheel drive all of the time, and don't confuse this with an all wheel drive vehicle, you will get corrected.
